Retrieve and Send Emails via Gmail
- Open your browser of choice (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer etc…).
- Navigate to gmail.com.
- Login to your Gmail account.
. - Once logged in, click the settings Settings button then Settings from the fly-out menu.
- Navigate to the Accounts tab, then click Add a POP3 mail account you own.
- Enter the Email address you wish to collect mail from e.g. johnsmith@example.com.
Click [Next Step]. - Enter the following information for the mail account you are trying to add:
- Username: Your full email address e.g. johnsmith@example.com
- Password: Password of the email account you are trying to add
- POP Server: pop3.wiseinternet.net
- Port: 995
- Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail: Checked
Click [Add Account]. - Your mail account has been added. You should now be able to receive email from the added account into you Gmail inbox, if you would like to be able to send from Gmail using this address ensure Yes, I want to be able to send mail as… and click [Next Step].
- Enter the Name you wish to be displayed when sending and the Email address you would like to send from.
Click [Next Step]. - Select to Send through “Gmail Account Name” Mail (easier to set up).
Click [Next Step]. - You will be prompted to verify your ownership of the email address. Google will send an email with a code and/or link you can use to verify your account.
Click [Send Verification]. - Check the inbox of the email address you are trying to add to get your verification code, enter it, then click [Verify].
Your email account should now be setup in Gmail.
